I do my sea fishing in Primark gear. And a pair of Crocs in summer. True story.

They are cracking little lights carl like yourself I've had 3 for a couple of years now and never once let me down unlike some I could mention and I bought a couple of the flexible arms for them that screw into a bank stick and they utilise the magnets so no faffing about top video good to see you again mate.👍

You're right about the clothing. Before you mentioned it, I thought the camo coat & bivvy would blend in nicely, on the hills of Afghanistan. But in the bland greenery of the UK - camo is like Hi-Vis. I've noticed some geezers like wearing it around town...probably think they're in the US Marine Corp. What are they like? You must be getting on a bit now, if you harp back to the 70's & 80's .....back in the day...eh? Keep 'em coming Mr Gee....I love it.

Dear Carl, Thank you very much! Amazing fishing video! I am glad to see you still have Sunblesa Gen 1 version. In fact,Gen 1 ,2 version can use same remote. But Upgraded Gen 2 Sunblesa bivvy light must use upgraded remote. If you long press remote, the light will become dim or brighter in 1.5 seconds. And you can operate bivvy light outside/inside of bivvy in 10-20meters. And upgraded bivvy light with more durable alloy surface also. In fact, we improved many details. The carp stuff does look a bit slow compared to the action down on Rossall. I was watching one of you vids from just over a year ago. You were doing up the van in preparation for a van life adventure around the UK. I must admit I really liked the idea, because I'd love to have a crack at that - just haven't got the balls. However, you went off in a totally different direction, funny how life turns out. Now you have the time you could consider a fresh adventure.

Serious question - if you can only apply say 7lb of force with a rod, why would you ever fish with it using a line of greater than 8lb BS, other than to add an extra safety margin for the likes of abrasion resistance etc?

Hi Carl, only just started watching your videos recently been looking at sea fishing videos in Blackpool on UA-cam and came across yours, which are great btw. Fished there for the first time on Gynn wall twice this weekend just gone *25/26th May*. First session I managed to pull a Bass, Sole, and 2 plaice. Next day I managed to pull a nice eel but unsure on the ID if I’m honest between a silver or a conger, another bass and another 2 plaice. I used a flapper 1up1down with black lug which was my go too choice and seemed to work the trick! What I would also add is that the fish only seemed to bite for me before the hour before high tide then go quiet for the rest of the session. These were an early afternoon high tide too. Keep up the great videos mate
